Port of Monroe
The Port of Monroe is an intermodal hub with access to the Great Lakes, two Class I railroads, an industrial park and airport. Less than five years after gaining a full-time director, the port is receiving new cargoes, increasing its economic significance and aiding the maritime industry with its involvement at federal levels.
In this special section we will cover:
- The port’s determination to develop maritime transportation
- Its acceptance into a new Customs and Border Protection Trusted Traveler Program, the first port in the system
- Its successes in diversifying and increasing commodity flows
In addition to placement in Great Lakes/Seaway Review, this special section is also available in high quality print and digital.
